ABOUT

I love passing on the incredible benefits of Iyengar yoga to my students: increased mobility, strength, flexibility, serenity and courage; decreased pain, stress and anxiety. One of my jobs as an Iyengar teacher is to make each posture accessible to every student so that all can fully experience body, mind and spirit aligning throughout the class, and then leave the studio with greater physical ease, and a lighter heart.

I welcome all students, from absolute beginners to experienced practitioners, as well as those recovering from injuries and surgeries, or living with ongoing medical conditions. I am happy to work with you as you are today and discover with you what might be possible tomorrow.

My own history is varied. I was a competitive gymnast and a ski racer before embarking on a more than twenty-year career as a contemporary dancer. I hold a degree in mathematics and philosophy and have taught academic as well as physical subjects. I’ve also done a fair amount of writing curricula and teaching teachers, and helped develop and teach a Live Online test preparation course in the noughties. I fell in love with Iyengar yoga more than twenty years ago and have since witnessed its remarkable effects in my own life and in the lives of others. I became an Iyengar yoga instructor in 2013 and continue to obtain higher level qualifications to deepen my own understanding and benefit my students.

I practised Iyengar yoga throughout my own pregnancy, as well as following a cycling injury, and have taught others through a variety of physical challenges. I’m happy to accommodate every student, even in a group setting. Your job is to show up willing and honest, and my job is to respond through yoga so that we grow together.

Yoga is for everyone!
